#550 • Two Mexican Dos Pesos Gold Coin Cufflinks, 18kt Gold Casing, 11.5g
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $1,000.00
Status: Available
Mexican coin cufflinks, and not shy about it. Each face carries a coin with the legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS around the rim and the Mexican coat of arms in the center: the eagle on the cactus with the snake. The listing identifies them as dos pesos gold coins, set in what it describes as an 18kt gold casing. Each coin sits in a round bezel framed by a twisted rope-pattern border, a classic detail that catches light from every angle. The coins appear to be held from the back by prongs, with the back of the setting looking to be partly open so the coin's reverse shows through. On the business side, each cufflink has a hinged swivel back: a U-shaped bracket pinned to the setting, carrying a fold-over bar. Light scratches and handling marks appear on the bars and backs, the kind of wear that comes from being worn. Two cufflinks in the lot. Listed as: 18kt Gold Casing Weight: 11.5g All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
