#1001 • Replica Coin Pendant: 2014 Standing Liberty Design, Reeded Edge

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $10.00

Status: Available

A coin you can wear. This replica coin pendant carries a full-length standing Liberty on the front: torch raised in her right hand, branch held out in her left, sun rays blazing behind her. "LIBERTY" arcs across the top in raised letters, and the date 2014 sits to the right of the figure. A ring of raised dots frames the scene. The design looks to be modeled on the Saint-Gaudens standing Liberty used on U.S. American Gold Eagle bullion coins. The face sits inside what appears to be a twisted, rope-pattern rim, and the outer edge is reeded with vertical ridges, just like the real thing. The piece appears gold-toned on the front, edge and bail. The back is flat with a stippled, textured finish and looks to be grayer, more silver-toned. A tapered bail hangs from a small jump ring at the top, ready for a chain of your choosing. It has been worn and loved. The bail shows wear and darker spotting inside and out, and what appears to be some toning sits in the recesses of the front and between the edge reeds. One pendant. A good-looking Liberty with a little life behind her. Includes: 2014 Liberty Quarter Replica Pendant All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
