#1752 • Gold Plated Donald Trump Bar – $100 Bill Design in Clear Capsule

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $45.00

Status: Available

A gold plated Donald Trump bar that takes the $100 bill and rewrites it in metal. The bar is rectangular, gold-colored on both faces, and laid out like a hundred-dollar note, right down to the '100' numerals in the corners. On the front, a portrait of a man in a suit and tie, which appears to be Donald Trump, sits where Franklin would be on the real thing. Around him: 'ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS' across the top, 'THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' and 'FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE', a seal at left, the quill and inkwell with bell at right, a large '100', a script signature at lower left, the code 'H8', and banknote-style numbering printed twice. Flip it and you get Independence Hall, with 'THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'IN GOD WE TRUST' and 'ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS'. It looks to be a novelty piece, not U.S. currency, and it comes housed in a clear plastic rectangular capsule. The edge shows what appears to be some darker discoloration. A conversation piece for the desk, the shelf, or the political collector who has everything else. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
