High bid $10.00
Status: Available
A whole drawer of commemorative history in one lot. Las Vegas casino floors, the U.S. Mint in Denver, railroading and more, in what appears to be about 27 pieces in a mix of what look to be copper-, brass- and silver-colored metals. The headliners: a copper-colored medal reading UNITED STATES MINT and DENVER, COLORADO, showing a building. An aluminum-colored medal reading BORMAN LOVELL ANDERS and DECEMBER 21-27, 1968. Those names and dates appear to mark the Apollo 8 crew and mission. A Texas Gambling Hall & Hotel One-Dollar Gaming Token from North Las Vegas, Nevada. A bronze-colored LAS VEGAS DOLLAR with a portrait. And a silver-colored Trains Magazine token reading RAILROADING and ULTIMATE DVD SERIES. The supporting cast runs deep. There is what appears to be a brass-colored Libra zodiac token with scales, and a brass-colored piece marked Walt Disney's Snow White with what appears to be a July 1987 date. There is a small silver-colored LOS ANGELES piece and what appears to be a second One Dollar Gaming Token. One brass-colored token appears to carry Chinese characters. A gold-colored piece in a clear sleeve shows what appears to be a Spanish colonial cob-style design, and a small red token sits in a stapled cardboard holder. Rounding it out is a silver-colored Peace dollar style piece dated 1922 and stamped COPY. It is a replica, and a good conversation piece. Several pieces appear to show toning, grime or wear, including the Texas Gambling Hall token, the 1922 copy and the Borman Lovell Anders medal. That is honest drawer patina. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
