#1759 • Mixed Miscellaneous Tokens Lot: Carwash Token, Israeli Coin, Malibu Money

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $10.00

Status: Available

A pocketful of small-time Americana and then some. This mixed lot of tokens and coins takes in a WASH TOKEN in silver tone, a token marked Malibu Money, an Israeli coin, a roller skating token, a game token, and plenty more besides. Every piece sits in its own white cardboard 2x2-style flip, stapled shut and ready for the album. The arcade side is well represented. Several pieces look to be marked 'NO CASH VALUE', the old promise of every game room and boardwalk. One copper-toned token appears to carry 'AMUSEMENT CO' and 'DANDY' in its legend around a central figure. A larger copper/bronze-toned piece appears to show '2000' and the word 'WHERE' in its legend, set around an ornate central design. Then the curveballs. One dark piece shows what appears to be a laureate portrait bust in an ancient Roman style. Another small piece has a center hole. Across the group, colours run to what appear to be silver-, brass/gold- and copper/bronze-toned pieces. A good starter box for a token collector, and a better rummage for anyone who likes working out where things came from. Listing note as written: Includes: Carwash Token, Israeli Coin, Malibu Money, Roller Skating Token, Game Token, and Much More. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied.
