High bid $20.00

Status: Available

Elvis, by the sheet. This lot leads with multiple sheets of 29-cent USA Elvis stamps. Each sheet shown in full is complete: 5 across by 8 rows, 40 stamps, no empty positions. At least 3 Elvis sheets appear stacked in the lot. Every stamp carries '29', 'USA' and 'ELVIS', with a small vertical line that appears to read 'ROCK & ROLL SINGER, 1935-1977'. The issue looks to be the USPS 29-cent Elvis of January 1993. The selvage is part of the fun. It carries the United States Postal Service eagle logo, '©1992', and the original mail-in pitch: 'Interested in other postal products featuring the Elvis stamp? Write to: ELVIS OFFER P.O. BOX 14326 ST. PAUL, MN 55114-0328'. Top-right selvage shows plate numbers that appear to read '22 12'. On one sheet, the bottom-right selvage appears cut or torn irregularly, clipping part of the 'Use Correct ZIP Code' text. The King brought company. A block of 10 LOVE USA 22-cent stamps with a brown puppy design, 2 rows of 5, with bottom selvage showing what appear to be plate numbers '11 12' and a registration mark. Add what appears to be a block of 4 Igor Stravinsky stamps, and a blue block that looks to be 3-cent Paul Dudley White MD stamps, appearing to run about 4 rows of 10. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
