#2824 • Comic Book Lot – Radioactive Man #1, Secret Wars, Marvel Comics Presents
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $375.00
Status: Available
Three stacks of comics, and the one on top of the middle pile is a fun one: Radioactive Man #1 from Bongo Comics Group, billed on the cover as "Bart Simpson's Favorite Comic Book!" It's "The Origin of Radioactive Man!" The cover is printed with a tongue-in-cheek "NOV. 1952" date, the copyright line reads 1993 Bongo Entertainment, and the art carries a printed Matt Groening signature. It sits in a clear plastic sleeve. The left stack is topped by a Secret Wars issue, with "In a twelve-issue limited series" across the top. It appears to be Marvel's Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars, with what looks to be a Captain America shield figure on the cover. The right stack opens with Marvel Comics Presents, and its cover shows a flaming-skull figure in a long coat that looks to be Ghost Rider. Further down that stack, a spine appears to read "SPIDER-MAN." Behind those top covers, each stack holds what appears to be several dozen more issues, and several look to be in clear plastic sleeves. That's a lot of reading, and a lot of digging for whoever wins it. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
