A shelf full of Marshalltown. These are masonry and concrete finishing hand trowels: flat steel blades, mounting bars, and red-orange grips with black end caps, each handle printed 'Marshalltown'. At least one blade is etched 'BEST MADE FINISHING MARSHALLTOWN XTRA LITE U.S.A.', and several rounded-end blades appear to carry a similar 'MARSHALLTOWN XTRA LITE' etching. Most of them still wear their blue Marshalltown hang cards, printed 'MARSHALLTOWN U.S.A.', 'EST. 1890' and 'BUILT TO LAST', with 'MADE IN USA' labels on the packaging. With the tags still on, they look to be unused or new old stock. The group includes at least six rounded-end, pool-style trowels. What appear to be about five square-end finishing trowels and about four more standing upright with cards bring the count to what looks to be roughly 15 to 17. There also appears to be at least one smaller trowel with a short mounting bar and a single front post. Some blades appear to show surface marks or discoloration, and some handles look to have dust or light surface soiling. Nothing a rag won't argue with.
