#1401 • (3) Silver Roosevelt Dimes, 90% Silver, with Morgan Mint Display Card
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $15.00
Status: Available
Three Roosevelt dimes, listed as 90% silver. One rides in a display card titled 'The Complete History of America's 20th Century Silver Coins' and labeled 'ROOSEVELT SILVER DIME.' The other two are loose. All three show the Roosevelt portrait side, and the mounted coin carries the familiar 'LIBERTY' and 'IN GOD WE TRUST' legends. The date on the mounted dime appears to read 1961. The card does the homework for you, with a printed specifications block: Dates of Issue 1946-1964; Designer John R. Sinnock; Composition .900 Fine Silver; Weight 2.50 Grams; Diameter 17.9 mm. That is the card's text, describing the series. Flip it over and there is more reading. A printed certificate issued under The Morgan Mint name states that 'this collection contains genuine legal tender coins struck by the United States Mint,' with a printed signature above '36th Director of the U.S. Mint.' Around it runs printed history on the Roosevelt dime, the March of Dimes and John Glenn's 1962 orbit. Small lot, good story, easy add to a silver stack or a starter collection. Listing note as written: 90% Silver All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
