Saint Christopher, protect us. It says so right on the rim, in raised letters around the top of this pendant and chain, listed as .925 sterling silver. The patron saint of travelers, ready for the road. The center shows the classic St. Christopher scene: a figure holding a staff, carrying a child on his shoulder. The round medallion appears to be worked in an open, pierced style, with the figure joined to the rim and open space between them. A small cross sits on the rim at each side, and a linked-loop band runs along the bottom. It hangs from a bail attached to a ring at the top of the medallion. The chain looks to be a box-style chain with textured, faceted links.
