#1398 • 90% Silver Half Dollars (3): 1942 Walking Liberty, 1962 Franklin, 1964 Kennedy

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $75.00

Status: Available

Three U.S. half dollars. Three designs. One lot. A 1942 Walking Liberty, a 1962 Franklin and a 1964 Kennedy, each in its own cardboard 2x2. The listing calls all three 90% silver, and every holder is hand-marked 90% to match. The Walker leads off, a classic design with what appears to be toning on both sides. The Franklin's 1962 date reads clean on the coin, and there is what appears to be a D mint mark above the Liberty Bell beam. The Kennedy's 1964 date is crisp on the obverse, and its holder is marked 1964 D. Its obverse looks to have uneven toning and dark speckling, mostly toward the rim, and there is what appears to be a dark spot on the reverse to the right of the eagle. Each holder carries handwritten notes: the date or mint, 90%, 50¢ and a letter grade. The Walker and the Franklin are marked XF and the Kennedy is marked AU. Those are hand-inked notes, not third-party grading. Three ways to add silver halves to a collection, starting from one bid. From the listing: "90% Silver Includes: 1942 Walking Liberty, 1962 D Franklin, and 1964 D Kennedy Half Dollars" All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
