Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $15.00

Status: Available

Three encased cents with California addresses lead this pile of mixed-year U.S. pennies. One silver-colored ring reads HARRY MANN CHEVROLET CO. 5735 CRENSHAW BLVD. LOS ANGELES, CALIF. and holds a wheat-reverse cent. Its ring shows what appear to be minor surface marks. Two more hang together on a gold-colored bead chain. One is a round ring marked LICK PIER and OCEAN PARK, CALIF., with a name that appears to read Aragon Ballroom. The other is a horseshoe-shaped holder marked PONTIAC, 711 E. COLORADO, PASADENA, CALIF. Each looks to hold a copper-colored Lincoln cent, portrait side out. Encased cents are generally known as business giveaways, and these look to be just that. Then the loose coins, what appears to be roughly 60 Lincoln cents. Many show the wheat-ear ONE CENT reverse. At least one carries the Lincoln Memorial reverse. One is dated 1941. One Lincoln cent is silver-colored among all that copper. There is also what appears to be a small gold-colored piece showing the Lincoln Memorial and the word AMERICA, smaller than a standard cent. The coins wear their years honestly. Wear and toning run from bright copper to dark brown, and some cents carry green spots or deposits. Mixed-year pennies, a few roadside souvenirs, and a starting point for any sorting session. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
