#1639 • (9) 1961-2025 Lincoln Pennies in Individual 2x2 Holders

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $5.00

Status: Available

Nine Lincoln pennies, each sitting in its own cardboard 2x2 holder. Staff list them as 1961-2025, a run that spans more than six decades of the humble cent. Eight holders carry handwritten labels. They appear to read 1961 D, 1974 D, 1994 D, 2004 D, 2024 D, 2025 D, 1966 and 1971 S, each marked '1¢', along with what appear to be handwritten grade abbreviations. The holder marked 2025 D also carries the handwritten words 'Last Year', which looks to be a nod to 2025 as what appears to be the final year the U.S. Mint struck cents for circulation. The ninth holder has no visible writing and holds a dark, unevenly toned coin. Up close, one coin clearly shows a 2024 date with a D mintmark beneath it. That coin and its neighbor show the Lincoln obverse with 'IN GOD WE TRUST' and 'LIBERTY'. Two coins show what appears to be the Union Shield reverse with 'UNITED STATES OF AMERICA', 'E PLURIBUS UNUM' and 'ONE CENT'. Color runs the range: some coins look to be dark brown or gray toned, others bright red-orange, and the 1971 S coin appears bright and reflective. The 2024 D coin appears to have scattered small dark spots, and the 2004 D coin appears blotchy. One holder's plastic film window is creased or torn across the top of the coin opening. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
