#3511 • Schatz 400 Day Anniversary Clock, Germany, with Clear Dome
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $90.00
Status: Available
A Schatz 400 Day anniversary clock from Germany, with the Schatz name in script right on the dial. The cream dial carries brass-colored Arabic numerals 1 through 12 in relief, with floral sprays at the 12, 3, 6 and 9. The hands appear to be brass-colored with a curved, serpentine pattern. Two cream columns wrapped in brass-colored bands hold up the dial, with pointed finials over the dial housing and round finials capping the columns. Below swings what appears to be a rotary torsion pendulum with four cream balls in brass-colored bands, the slow-turning centerpiece that makes these clocks fun to watch. It sits on a round base that looks to be finished in cream with brass-colored and silver-colored bands under a brass-colored top plate. Comes with its clear dome and winding key. The dome looks to be a little hazy, and the cream base shows what appears to be light surface wear. A mantel classic with plenty of shelf presence. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
