#3520 • Wooden Home Decorations: Signed Boucher Carved Sailor Plaque, Game Board & More

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $20.00

Status: Available

The star here is a carved wooden relief plaque, signed. A bearded sailor in a peaked cap grips a ship's wheel, with a rope-lashed mast behind him. There is an anchor carved on the front of his cap. A raised flat border frames the recessed carved panel, and the signature sits in the lower right of that border, with 'Boucher' legible. The first name appears to read 'Andre'. It rewards a closer look. The background carries what appear to be small incised birds and short strokes of water and sky texture. The wood looks to be a light natural tone, with darker toning settling into the recessed areas and cut lines, so the carving reads cleanly from across a room. The lot also includes a carved sailor side portrait and a wooden marbles game board, plus more. The board appears to be a long oval with two rows of round cups and larger cups at the ends, in what looks to be a mancala-style layout. It appears to have painted flower motifs between the cups and dark-painted rim areas. Nautical wall art, a game board, and extras, all in one lot. Bid accordingly. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
