#3526 • Vintage Barbering Lot: 4 Straight Razors, Shavette & Manual Hair Clipper
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $55.00
Status: Available
Old-school barbering, by the handful. This lot is listed as four straight razors, a blending shavette and a manual hair clipper. The razors carry the character. Three fold into black handle scales with visible pivot pins, and each comes with a cardboard box: one red, one brown, one dark and well-traveled. The boxes have earned their wear, with scuffing, frayed and torn edges and discoloration, and the dark one shows peeling covering and dirt. One black-handled razor is shown opened, and its blade has spotting and uneven tone across the face. Its scales are scuffed, with light marks near the tail. The fourth piece, in amber mottled scales with dark accents, appears to be a folded straight razor. It sits in a brown sleeve with a stitched edge. Rounding it out: what appears to be a shavette-type razor, with a cream-colored handle and a metal head holding a replaceable blade, resting on a red case. Then the hand clipper, a squeeze-type with two long handles, a toothed cutting head and a knurled thumb screw at the pivot, in what appears to be a silver-colored metal finish. A collector's starter kit or a shop-wall display, all in one lot. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
