#1596 • 1983-S Kennedy Half Dollar NGC PF 69 Ultra Cameo, South Beach Label

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $15.00

Status: Available

A 1983-S Kennedy half dollar, graded by NGC and sealed in its holder. The label reads 1983 S 50C on the first line and PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO on the second. That is a top-end grade with a top-end contrast designation. Through the plastic, the coin appears to show mirror-like dark fields set against lighter, frosted-looking portrait and lettering. That is the look of a proof striking. The obverse carries the left-facing Kennedy portrait with LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST and the date 1983. What appears to be a small S mintmark sits below the bust, just above the date. Small designer initials appear to be visible on the bust truncation. The label is NGC's South Beach themed design. It shows art deco buildings with signs reading COLONY HOTEL and BOULEVARD HOTEL, palm trees, a pink vintage car and a flamingo, with SOUTH BEACH printed in pink. It is a fun label on a serious grade, and an easy fit for a Kennedy run or a label collection. Mint: San Francisco. NGC Grade: PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
