Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $10.00

Status: Available

Twenty-five Lincoln cents, every one showing the Lincoln bust with IN GOD WE TRUST and LIBERTY. The lot is listed as a mix of Wheat and Lincoln Memorial pennies. Readable dates include 1940, 1941 and 1944, plus a run of D-marked cents: 1951-D, 1952-D, 1955-D and 1958-D. A 1952-S sits right alongside them. There is more to pick through. One coin is a 1953 with what appears to be a mint mark below the date. Another looks to be a 1963-D, with a noticeably brighter red surface than the rest. Other dates look to read 1956, 1959-D, 1961 and 1962. Lincoln cents through 1958 used the wheat ears reverse, and 1959 and later the Lincoln Memorial, so the dates here appear to span both. These look to be honest circulated coins, with softened high points on the portraits. Most appear brown, and one shows what appears to be purplish dark toning. The 1952-D has dark spots on Lincoln's head and shoulder, and small dark or green spots appear on some others, including the 1944 near its right rim. A tidy handful of dates and mint marks for anyone filling a folder or starting one. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
