#1646 • Bicentennial 1776-1976 Eisenhower Dollar, Kennedy Half & Washington Quarter

Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)

High bid $5.00

Status: Available

The full Bicentennial trio in one lot: a $1 Eisenhower dollar, a Kennedy half dollar and a Washington quarter, each wearing the dual 1776-1976 date that only one year of American coinage ever carried. Three coins, three portraits, one birthday party for the country. The Eisenhower dollar carries a D mint mark below the bust, above the date. The Kennedy half carries its D to the left of the neck, above the 1776. The quarter is marked with what appears to be a D to the right of the hair ribbon. As Denver Bicentennials, these look to be the copper-nickel clad circulation strikes rather than the San Francisco silver issues. These were made to be spent, and they look it. The dollar and the half show what appears to be scattered scratches and contact marks on the portraits and in the fields. The dollar and the quarter show what appears to be uneven light toning or discoloration. Honest coins for a type set, a starter collection, or a 1976 birthday gift for someone who remembers the parades. Includes: $1 Dollar, Half Dollar and Quarter. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
