#3032 • Tableware Lot: Ewer Pitcher, Gravy Boat, Covered Dish, Napkin Rings & More
Part of October Multi-Estate Auction (timed auction by Bid Fast and Last)
High bid $130.00
Status: Available
A whole shelf of table service, sold as one lot. The showpiece is a tall ewer-form water pitcher with a beaded band and a scrolled handle, the kind of piece that anchors a sideboard. Beside it stands what appears to be a tall lidded pot in coffee pot or teapot form, with a finial, a curved spout and a scrolled handle. The dinner table is covered. There is a footed gravy boat with a handle and an oval covered vegetable or entrée dish with a ring handle on the lid. There is also what appears to be a lidded two-handled sugar bowl and what looks to be a domed butter dish on a footed stand, both with engraved floral decoration. A small cream pitcher appears to carry embossed decoration. Two small footed, handled bowls and two petal-rimmed dishes look to be sauce or salt pieces. Salt and pepper shakers appear too, some glass with metal tops and some with pierced tops. For the candlelit end of the evening, there appears to be a tall stem candlestick and about three to four short candle holders. Add an oval tray holding two napkin rings, a small rectangular dish with a decorative border, a pie or cake server with a decorated handle, a round copper-colored tray with engraved decoration, and a small lidded pot with a spout and a dark straight side handle. There are odds and ends as well, including what appears to be a pierced cylindrical holder on a beaded-edge plate. Many pieces appear gold-toned. Several show dark gray to black tarnish, so bring polish. See all 21 photos on the lot page. All lots sell as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Preview in person before bidding.
